- $29 one time, no subscription. You preview your letter before you ever pay.
- We're a document-preparation tool, not a law firm — nothing here is legal advice.
- You send the finished letter yourself; we never contact the collector for you.
- Disputes go to individual arbitration, not a class action — see section 13.
1. Agreement to terms
By using usepushback.com (the “Service”), operated by PUSHBACK, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
2. Electronic communications
The Service is entirely email-based — we don't use paper mail or phone. By using PUSHBACK, you consent to receive your receipt, download link, and any service-related notices electronically, at the email address you provide at checkout.
3. What PUSHBACK is — and isn't
What this does: Prepares a written request for the collector to validate the debt — confirm it's real, accurate, and actually yours to pay — using the details from your letter and your answers to a few questions.
What this doesn't do: This isn't legal advice, and we're not your attorney. We don't decide your legal strategy for you or guarantee any particular result. If your situation involves a lawsuit, a court summons, or wage garnishment, talk to a lawyer or legal aid — this tool is for first-response letters only, not court matters.
4. Eligibility & your responsibilities
You must be 18 or older, based in the United States, and the person named on (or legally authorized to act on behalf of the person named on) the collection notice you upload. You're responsible for making sure the information you give us — including any facts you confirm or edit — is accurate; we generate your letter from what you tell us.
5. How the service works
Upload your letter, review and correct the details we read from it, preview the opening of your response, then pay $29 to download the finished, signature-ready letter and receive a copy by email. $29 is a one-time charge, not a subscription — you're never charged again without making a new purchase. You sign, send, and mail the finished letter yourself; PUSHBACK doesn't mail it for you, and never contacts the collector or acts as your agent or representative in any communication with them.
6. Payment & refunds
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Because you can preview your response before paying, purchases are generally final once your document is generated. If something went wrong on our end — the extraction was badly wrong, the letter didn't generate, or you were charged in error — contact us within 14 days of your purchase and we'll make it right, including a refund where appropriate.
7. No legal advice, no attorney-client relationship
PUSHBACK is a document-preparation tool, not a law firm, and nothing you receive from us is legal advice. Using the Service does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and PUSHBACK or anyone associated with it. The letter we prepare reflects the facts and situation you provide — we don't evaluate the merits of your dispute, advise you on strategy, or guarantee any outcome, including that a collector will pause collection, validate the debt, or respond at all.
If you are being sued, have received a court summons, or are facing wage garnishment, this Service isn't appropriate for your situation — contact a lawyer or a legal aid organization instead.
8. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose — preparing a validation-request letter for a genuine debt collection notice you've received. You agree not to: upload content you don't have the right to share; use the Service to harass, impersonate, or defraud anyone, including a collector or original creditor; attempt to circumvent any usage limits we apply (for example, automated or excessive submissions); or use the Service in a way that violates any applicable law.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold PUSHBACK harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of Section 8 (Acceptable use), or inaccurate information you provided that we used to generate your letter.
10. Intellectual property
The letter generated for your session is yours to use once you've paid for it. PUSHBACK retains all rights to the Service itself — its software, design, and content — other than what's generated specifically for you.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that extraction will always be accurate (you're shown what we read and can correct it before anything is generated), that a collector will respond in any particular way, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PUSHBACK isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us ($29).
13. Dispute resolution & arbitration; class action waiver
Agreement to arbitrate. You and PUSHBACK agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these terms or the Service will be resolved by binding, individual arbitration, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies. This section is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act.
How arbitration works. Arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, conducted remotely or in the county where you reside unless we agree otherwise, and arbitration fees will be allocated according to the AAA's rules for consumer disputes.
Class action waiver. You and PUSHBACK each agree to bring claims only in an individual capacity, not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative action. The arbitrator can't combine more than one person's claims into a single arbitration, or preside over any form of a class or representative proceeding.
Your right to opt out. You can opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing hi@usepushback.com within 30 days of first agreeing to these terms, with your name and a clear statement that you want to opt out of arbitration. If you opt out, this section doesn't apply to you, but the rest of these terms still do.
If this section can't be enforced. If the class action waiver above is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim (and only that claim) may proceed in court instead; the rest of this arbitration agreement remains in effect for every other claim.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [governing-law jurisdiction — to be finalized before launch], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
15. Severability & entire agreement
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in full effect. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and PUSHBACK regarding the Service, and supersede any other communication, including marketing copy or FAQ content.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service evolves; the date at the top will change when we do. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the update.
